FEMPA marks another edition of its annual technical conferences for business installers and maintainers, drawing participants from the Alicante province and beyond.

Beginning December 1 at 10:00, a major online gathering will bring together industry professionals, management teams, business associations, universities, and leading brands and supplier companies. Attendees will stay informed about the latest industry developments and regulatory changes, while exploring technological innovations that impact daily operations in the trade.

As the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs of the Province of Alicante, FEMPA represents the region’s plumbing sector and organizes this event each year. It gathers a wide network of companies and professionals across plumbing, gas, heating, air conditioning, electricity, renewable energy, fire protection, industrial refrigeration, storage of petroleum products, and pressure equipment, among others, to deliver a comprehensive program that addresses the real-world concerns faced by practitioners.

For the opening, Emilia González Carrión, Regional Director of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, will join FEMPA president Jorge Ibañez. Rosa Sánchez, FEMPA’s current Secretary General, is scheduled to attend the closing ceremony.

XVII. Technical Conference Program

The agenda opens with a review of the latest steps in the legalization process for thermal facilities. It covers the administrative procedures, required documents, and the documentary verification stage, all presented from FEMPA’s technical-industrial perspective.

News about more efficient Aerothermal systems.

The next segment focuses on energy efficiency. The EAS ELECTRIC-JOHNSON Technical Department will present advances in more efficient aerothermal systems. Energy efficiency remains a critical topic in installation and maintenance, and this session responds to the many questions from industry staff by outlining the latest news and developments in aerothermal technology.

The latest generation of electric heat pumps offers technology that is widely recognized as renewable under current regulations and eligible for several incentives. Aerothermal equipment with a monoblock gas unit using R32 and R290 provides substantial savings compared with older systems.

The conference will also cover DHW aerothermal accumulators, chillers, VRV systems, ventilation, and heat pumps for swimming pools. Attendees will gain insight into related equipment types as well.

In a related segment, the discussion will address incorporating more efficient fluorinated gases into equipment using R32 and R290. These gases offer higher efficiency and lower pollution but require careful handling due to flammability and the need for proper ventilation and safety measures. Preventive precautions will be emphasized.

The presentation will be delivered by Isidro Beviá, a noted professor at FEMPA’s training school.

Closing remarks will feature INNOMETALIA, FEMPA’s innovation cluster, discussing Green Hydrogen as a tool to decarbonize the industry and the role installers can play in adopting this clean energy. To promote Green Hydrogen, FEMPA, in collaboration with key organizations and companies in Alicante, has helped establish the VAHIA 2030 Cluster, signaling a commitment to developing a green hydrogen valley in the province.
