This Sunday, voters across Spain will cast ballots to choose their local representatives and, in many regions, their regional parliaments. In 12 of the 17 autonomous communities, the regional elections will determine the next parliamentarian and shape governance for years to come.

Television networks have prepared extensive coverage for the election day. Below is a guide to how to watch the coverage on TV.

RTVE: La 1 and Canal 24 Horas: 28-M. Up to you

Starting early in the morning, La 1 and Canal 24 Horas will deliver continuous updates on the elections, highlighting a high turnout at polling stations and the data centers collecting results. The morning will feature two key moments: 9:00 when schools open and 2:00 when the first attendance figures are released. The morning presenters will be Lluís Guilera, Marta Solano, Igor Gómez, and Olga Lambea, with Beatriz Pérez Aranda and Ángeles Bravo taking over in the afternoon. There will also be four regional pauses to bring the latest local details at 2:23 PM, 3:50 PM, 8:55 PM, and at the end of the election night special.

From 19:40, during the special program 28-M. Decide if Carlos Franganillo, Alejandra Herranz, and Xabier Fortes will join the presentation. These anchors will report on school closures, anticipated survey results, recounts, and analysis of the outcomes. The discussion panel will include Esther Palomera, Lucía Méndez, Ainhoa Martínez Hoyos, Alejandro Requeijo, Berna González Harbor, Jesús Maraña, and political scientist Cristina Monge in a data-driven analysis. The coverage will feature updates from parties and connections with regional centers to relay results to different regions.

Antenna 3: Informative Special

Antena 3 will begin with the first edition of Antena 3 Noticias 1, anchored by Matías Prats and Mónica Carrillo. At 7:45 pm, Vicente Vallés will lead a special segment that continues until results are tallied and counted. The program will include political analysts such as Iván Redondo, Chema Crespo, Carmen Morodo, Pilar Velasco, and José Manuel García-Margallo, who will interpret data, discuss possible alliances, and rely on Antena 3’s reporting teams across more than thirty locations throughout Spain, including party headquarters and data centers.

Antena 3 will again leverage innovative technologies, incorporating advanced news programs and augmented reality to present the election story.
