According to the republic’s representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Ukraine’s War Crimes Issues, the last day saw Ukrainian armed formations conduct 40 shelling incidents on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The incidents represent a pattern of repeated bombardments across several fronts, affecting civilian life and infrastructure in the region. The information is part of ongoing assessments by the JCCC, which tracks violations and documents the impact on populations and settlements under DPR administration.

In the Donetsk direction, the adversary carried out 17 bombardments using 155 mm and 152 mm artillery. In Gorlovka, 18 bombardments were recorded from 152 mm artillery systems. In Volnakhsky, 152 mm and 155 mm artillery were employed across five separate bombardment episodes. In total, 187 rounds and projectiles of various calibers were fired on the DPR’s territory during this period, highlighting the scale of artillery engagement reported by the monitoring office.

The strikes affected seven settlements within the Donetsk People’s Republic. Observers reported a civilian casualty in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, where a man lost his life amid the shelling. Damage to civilian infrastructure was also recorded, including 18 houses in the Petrovsky district of Gorlovka and in the Nikitovsky district, along with four civilian facilities sustaining damage. The documented consequences underscore the ongoing humanitarian toll of the conflict on noncombatant communities and their everyday routines, livelihoods, and safety concerns.

On the day prior, the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted 59 bombardments on the territory of the DPR, illustrating a continued cycle of reciprocal shelling between the conflicting sides. The back-and-forth pattern of bombardments contributes to a volatile security situation and complicates relief and reconstruction efforts for local residents who strive to maintain basic stability in daily life.

There were reports from neighboring authorities about the broader regional impact of the conflict. Vyacheslav Gladkov, former Governor of the Belgorod region, acknowledged incidents related to the bombing of the village of Ustinka by Ukrainian forces. In a related development, Ukrainian armed formations in the Kursk region were reported to have engaged in offensive actions near Glushkovsky district and the village of Tetkino. These assessments reflect a wider geographic dimension to the conflict, with multiple localities experiencing security threats and disruptions to normal life beyond the DPR borders.
