Bitcoin, the most recognized and traded cryptocurrency worldwide, rose about 5% on Monday to around 69,777 dollars, inching toward 70,000 and aiming for the all‑time highs reached last week at 73,137.50 dollars. Year to date, bitcoin has gained roughly 65.9%, and over the last twelve months the rise stands near 158.5%.
