Moscow Presnensky Court has ordered the confiscation of twelve of Elena Blinovskaya’s bank accounts, alongside a set of fifty-four clearing accounts, with half of those held by Blinovskaya’s spouse. In addition, authorities proceeded to place restrictions on the blogger known for the project “Marathon of Desire.” Investigators also seized the blogger’s four vehicles, namely a Bentley Continental, a Lamborghini Urus, a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and a Mitsubishi Outlander, as well as a motorboat, seven trailers, and a jet ski. The court ruling has not yet taken effect and remains subject to appeal under the relevant procedural rules. Lawyers for Blinovskaya have lodged protests against prior decisions related to the blogger and have challenged the extension of a house arrest order previously imposed by the court in relation to the ongoing case.
As of July 21, the court extended the preventive measure to keep Blinovskaya under house arrest through October 26, while also maintaining a ban on access to the internet that applies to the blogger. Earlier in the spring, Blinovskaya was detained while attempting to depart from Russia after obtaining a plane ticket to an international destination. These developments form part of a broader legal process that has drawn attention to the blogger’s activities and the subsequent state actions.
