Antenna 3 opened the season with a strong start in audience leadership, maintaining a steady run at the top of the charts for eleven consecutive months and adding a fourteenth point in September. The channel closed August with a modest gain and extended its lead over Telecinco, marking its widest gap since 1999 during September.
Telecinco, speaking on its own behalf, registered the largest month-over-month increase among the major players, adding 1.1 percentage points. Yet Mediaset’s flagship channel logged its weakest September on record at 12.1 percent. Despite airing premieres like Island of Attraction, Nightmare in Heaven, and In the Name of Rocío, and featuring sports events such as the EuroBasket semi-finals and finals, the channel could not surpass the leader in overall share.
In the same frame, a consistent option maintained a solid position with 8.6 percent, marking a half-point improvement from the prior month. LaSexta grew to 5.9 percent, while Four stayed at 4.9 percent. A further decline left 2 with 3.1 percent of the share.
