Analyses of the Russia-Ukraine conflict point toward potential disengagement by 2023, with the prospect of a formal peace agreement discussed by informed observers and cited by Reuters.

In Lima, Peru, a traditional purification rite takes place on San Cristobal Hill on the final day of December. The New Year ceremony sees participants lay out incense, flowers, snakes and photographs of the presidents of Russia and Ukraine as part of the ritual.

Shaman Kleof Sedano told Reuters that the mood would settle, with peace possibly arriving and a treaty expected to be signed by August.

Reuters also notes that the shamans foresee several natural events in the upcoming year, including a potential earthquake in North America.

Astrologer’s forecast

For a broader outlook, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti consulted astrologer Tamara Globa. The forecast challenges the idea of a quick end to the conflict, suggesting hostilities could extend into 2024, followed by negotiations after a sharp turn.

Globa described a rapid halt to military actions that resembles the course of the pandemic and indicated a new era would follow. She highlighted mid-2023 as a turning point for Russia and the world, arguing that many eight-year agreements could unravel by late October. She asserted a high accuracy rate for her readings.

In a discussion with Nadezhda Sagittarius, the astrologer described winter to early spring as a period of significant events for Russians. She warned of a heightened risk of terrorist acts and urged people to prepare, noting some could benefit from having an emergency kit for outages or other disruptions.

Globa characterized year-end as tense yet suggested opportunities for negotiation would appear at that time, stressing that agreements would come with cooperation rather than coercion.

She also stated that a large-scale nuclear conflict would not occur, acknowledging the possibility of a nuclear incident but denying a scenario of universal exchange of nuclear weapons.

Television predictions

On Russian television, astrologers, tarologists and psychics joined the conversation about Russia and Ukraine’s futures. Host Andrey Malakhov invited them to a Live program on November 24.

One presenter forecast that pressure would ease in January and rise again in February, with March standing out as a turning point when different negotiation proposals would emerge. Some proposals could carry provocations, making discernment crucial as the historical course seemed to tilt.

A fortuneteller predicted the possible decline of NATO and a division within the United States forming in spring 2023. Italian tarot reader Giovanni Pelosini described March 2023 as globally important, saying the Russia card carried a positive reading.

Looking at Ukraine’s astrological chart, Pelosini suggested a late resolution to the present era, possibly by August 2029, with Ukraine facing difficult times before eventual recovery.

A Rabota.ru survey from August 2022 showed that nearly a third of Russians consult astrological forecasts for major decisions, with some altering career plans or avoiding large deals based on star guidance. About 13% had consulted an astrologer at least once, and 2% do so regularly.

What politicians say about military action

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has hinted that the conflict could end in 2023. He emphasized the importance of peacetime effectiveness for Ukrainians and called for unity in pursuing national goals such as restoration, citizen return, and expanded international opportunities.

In an interview with the Economist, Zelensky underscored that diplomacy would require Russia to withdraw to the 1991 borders, restoring Donbas and Crimea to Ukraine.

Regarding 2023 plans, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated that military action would continue until all missions were completed, and the Kremlin reported progress in disarming Ukraine. By late June, President Vladimir Putin cautioned against rushing the timing of an end to the military operation.
