Russia assures gas supply via Nord Stream 2 possible
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak assured Moscow that it is in a position to supply gas to Europe via the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline as soon as the European powers give legal approval.
Novak reiterated Russia’s willingness to supply gas because the “infrastructure is ready” since last week, referring to the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which much of the international community considers sabotage.
“Unfortunately, one line was damaged by sabotage –North Stream 1–, its fate needs investigation (…) As for the second line –North Stream 2–, it’s ready, according to TASS, its European counterparts need certification and restrictions “If it takes the necessary legal decisions regarding its removal,” he said.
