Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, said that the Ukrainian army once again attempted to land troops along the Dnieper near Energodar in the direction of Kamenka-Dneprovskaya. According to him, the attack was repelled.
“Last night, a new attempt by Zelensky militants to force the Dnieper and land in the Kamenka-Dneprovskaya region was blocked,” said RIA Novosti.
Rogov believes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to identify weaknesses in the defense of the Russian army. He recalled that before that, Ukrainian troops tried to land in the direction of Energodar, Dneprorudny and Vasilyevka.
“They are looking for a place where they can hold on to the banks of the Dnieper and form a foothold for the offensive,” said Rogov.
A member of the main council of the regional government gave details of the incident on the Telegram channel: “They used 15 speedboats to cross the Dnieper. The enemy landing force was detected in time, allowed to land and covered with artillery in the area of u200bu200bthe landing zone.
In a comment to Interfax, the head of Energodar administration, Alexander Volga, confirmed that the attempt to land near Energodar, where the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is located, had failed.
“Another attempt was made to break the descent from Nikopol (Dnepropetrovsk region) in the Kamenka-Dneprovskaya direction (about 10 km from Energodar). The coup was successfully repelled,” said the Volga.
According to him, before the landing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they launched an artillery attack on the power grids. “In the evening they attacked the Luch substation that feeds our electrical grids… We are repairing the grids,” Volga added, adding that there is still no electricity in the city.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian army bombed Energodar six times a day, firing 27 shells from the opposite side of the Kakhovka reservoir. “As a result of the bombardment of the power lines, the city was left without electricity. Enemy firepower was suppressed by the return fire of Russian artillery. “Full-time personnel control the technical condition of the nuclear power plant,” he said.
Previous APU errors
According to Moscow’s calculations, Ukrainian troops are trying to land for the third time. For the first time, the commanders of the Ukrainian army made such a decision on September 1, the day when the inspection of the international agency IAEA visited the Zaporozhye NPP. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that on that day two sabotage groups of 60 people belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine landed on seven boats on the shore of the Kakhovka reservoir. This resort is located 3 km northeast of the Zaporozhye NPP. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian army “attempted to seize the power plant.”
Then the head of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, Yevgeny Balitsky, said that the landing forces were destroyed.
The next day, the Ukrainian army again came to the nuclear power plant. A Russian fighter with the callsign Skif, who was involved in repelling the attack, told RIA Novosti that the landing force had arrived with about 20 foreign boats. He said each of these boats can carry up to 15 people. Skif noted that the boats were traveling without light and at high speeds.
“We wanted a quick attack, a quick overtake of the water surface. Previously, all actions were directed directly at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to seize it. Artillery worked along the coast,” he said.
Russian intelligence discovered the landing and transmitted the data to headquarters. RIA Novosti writes that later aviation managed to destroy the advanced detachment of the enemy. Su-30 multirole fighters and Ka-52 attack helicopters took part in the operation.
According to Skif, such a decision was made due to the fact that the range of action with small arms, machine guns, grenade launchers did not reach the landing.
The interlocutor of the agency is confident that the RF Armed Forces showed “enormous resistance” and that the Ukrainian army will remember this “powerful blow” for a long time.
