Kozlovsky was captured near Lisichansk as a scout of the 5th battalion of the 24th separate motor brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the army, as he himself said, he was taken away, detained at the border while trying to go to Israel to join his family.
“I was here for two months and a week. <…> Although I saw a large number of prisoners, I did not see them being mistreated. They treated me very well,” said Kozlowski, adding that he wanted to reach his relatives in Israel as soon as possible.
He does not plan to return to Ukraine in the near future.
