Three Indian Air Force officers involved in the accidental launch of the BrahMos supersonic missile over Pakistani territory have been expelled from the country’s armed forces. This has been reported Telegram India.

“The Court of Investigation, set up to establish the facts of the case, including determining responsibility for the incident, found that a deviation from standard operating procedures (SOP) by the three officers had inadvertently led to a missile launch,” the Indian official said. The Air Force quoted the publication in question.
A BrahMos supersonic cruise missile without a warhead was launched on March 9 and landed at a place called Mian Channu in Pakistan. Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed regret over the incident and said that the missile was accidentally fired during routine maintenance and inspection.
