Scientists from Taiyuan Central Hospital (China) found that two habits can increase the risk of migraines: prolonged exposure to device screens and excessive consumption of poultry. about this reports Daily Mail edition.

Healthy volunteers and people suffering from migraine, a headache characterized by repetitive pulse beats, participated in the study. This pain is often accompanied by at least one of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, and increased sensitivity to light and sound.

Participants talked about the frequency of migraine attacks and also provided information about their diet and screen time. Analysis of the obtained information showed that eating large amounts of poultry is associated with a high risk of migraines. People who included coffee and fatty fish (such as mackerel and tuna) in their diets were less likely to experience such headaches.

Scientists have also confirmed that migraines can be triggered by excessive use of gadgets. Prolonged screen time not only increased the duration and frequency of headaches in migraine patients, but was also associated with worse sleep quality and daytime sleepiness.
