INFORMATION

Xabia

This municipality’s coves and marinas provide easy access to vibrant seabed life. Cala Blanca, Cala Sardinera, Cala Portitxol and Cala Granadella are prime snorkeling spots, with calm waters and rich sea life inviting curious divers and snorkelers alike.

The bays include a white-sand feel where the rocks along the cliffs show a pale hue. Situated at the end of Playa del Segon Muntanyar, the light color of the rocks gives Cala Bay a distinctive look and easy entry for snorkeling.

Portitxol or Barraca is also highly recommended for snorkeling and light diving. The underwater world flourishes among nearby aquatic vegetation and the tranquil water of Cala Sardineta and the low swimmer density makes it easy to observe fish and the seabed up close.

Calpe

Cala Racó sits just beneath Penyal d’Ifach, behind Calp’s harbor. Its accessible shore and crystal-clear waters make it suitable for both surface snorkeling and shallow depths of several meters.

Altea

There are two snorkeling options in this coastal town. The Cap Negret route follows the south face of the cape, offering a scenic trek around the rocky promontory where a 3 to 4 meter depth reveals fish and even octopus.

Another route, the L’Olla Snorkel Route, departs from the beach of the same name. Facing southeast with clear water and good visibility, the shallow rocky bottom stays at about 2 to 3 meters, perfect for closer seabed exploration.

Benidorm

Cala Almadrava and Cala Ximo offer accessible snorkeling within easy reach of the town. Almadrava lies east of the famous Levante beach, beneath Serra Gelada, where warm, clean water makes snorkeling especially pleasant.

There is also a small cove on Benidorm’s north coast at the foot of Serra Gelada. Tío Ximo combines fine sands and rocky outcrops to reveal crystal-clear waters ideal for snorkeling.

El Campello

In El Campello, a small isthmus provides easy entry for snorkeling and swimming. The landscape offers very clear, bright backgrounds with views toward Queen’s Baths. At the isthmus tip, a channel leads to rocky pools connected by small openings, creating inviting snorkeling pockets with shallow depths.
