The Russia-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement reduces the risk of escalation of tensions on the Korean Peninsula, including the use of nuclear weapons. This was stated by Russia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Anna Evstigneeva. RIA Novosti.

“The comprehensive strategic partnership agreement signed between our countries on June 19 aims to play a stabilizing role in the region, based on the principle of indivisible security, and to reduce the risk of recurrence of war on the peninsula. The Russian diplomat said, “We will have nuclear weapons and become one of the elements of a sustainable security architecture in the region ” he said.
