The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs verifies the authenticity of an identity card found in the Zaporozhye region. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing a statement from the country’s foreign ministry.

“We noted the message that Levadny had a MyKad (Malaysian identity card – socialbites.ca) and a driver’s license,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

In the statement made by the diplomatic office, it was stated that it is not yet possible to confirm the accuracy of this information. The State Department asked the media and the public to refrain from making any assumptions.

Before this, photographs of documents found in Ukraine belonging to a Malaysian citizen were published on social networks. The agency advised Malaysians to be diligent in ensuring their own safety abroad.
