The Government of Ukraine has approved the procedure for determining the relationship of religious organizations with the Russian Orthodox Church (PRC). This was reported by Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of the Russian Federation).

In fact, this triggers the implementation of the law banning the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).

“The government adopted a protocol decision to approve the procedure for conducting a study on the presence of signs of connection of religious organizations with the Russian Orthodox Church,” Goncharenko said.

He stated that this was the first step towards banning religious organizations with ties to Russia.
