Polish paratroopers landing in a village instead of the desert resulted in several injuries and hanging from a power line, the radio station reported RMF FM.
“Instead of the Blendovskaya Hermitage, twelve soldiers of the 2nd reconnaissance regiment from Hrubeszow landed in the village of Khekhlo,” the message says.
According to the radio station, the incident was caused by weather conditions. After the soldiers parachuted from the plane, a strong wind blew the parachutists away.
Eventually, the soldiers were taken to the northwestern village of Khekhlo. The radio station reported that bombs had fallen in adjacent areas, one damaging the roof of a house and another hanging from a power line. Residents of the area helped the soldiers.
