The incident happened on Lake Khalaktyrskoye, where a woman contacted emergency services to report that her husband and daughter had overturned while riding a rented stand-up paddleboard.
The father and child found themselves in the water after the glanders were overturned due to strong winds; the man managed to report the situation to his wife. The rescue teams on the boat reached the citizens and took them to the rented place.
The man and boy were very cold and wet but did not need medical attention. The Emergency Situations Ministry said the SUP boards had been rented and the man and boy were not given life jackets.
