ATOL analysts conducted a study on changes in the average cost of watermelons and melons. socialbites.ca got acquainted with the results of the study.

So, in July, 1 kg of watermelons could be purchased for an average of 72 rubles, which is 2% more expensive than in the same period in 2023. Already in the first two weeks of August, the average price of 1 kg of this fruit decreased by 29%, falling to 51 rubles.

Melons have risen in price by 10 percent: in July, Russians paid an average of 131 rubles for 1 kg in a store. In August, the cost fell by 25 percent to 98 rubles.
