Explosion at weapons factory in Bulgaria

During the tests of the projectile, an explosion occurred at a weapons factory in Bulgaria. Czech TV channel reports NOVA With reference to sources.

“There was no loss of life, but serious material damage occurred,” they said on live broadcast.

The incident was reported to have occurred during ammunition tests at the Terem Defense Plant. Bulgarian National Television later reported that the explosion occurred in a device used to fill the ammunition with explosives.

The explosion damaged the apparatus, the nearby protective wall and the roof of the business.

The incident is being investigated by the military police of the Bulgarian Armed Forces.

Before that, at the end of April 2024, the Czech police complete Investigation into the explosions at the ammunition depots in Vrbetica in 2014.

Czech authorities blamed Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov for the incident. The shells stored in the warehouses were planned to be sent to Ukraine.
