The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that the city of Shebekino was under artillery fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported Telegram channel regional presidents.
Gladkov stressed that as a result of his arrival, non-residential buildings caught fire and firefighters extinguished the fires.
The governor added that the southern part of the city was temporarily without power. Emergency teams will begin restoration work soon.
Gladkov added that according to initial reports, there were no casualties.
