Most Russians are planning renovations for spring and summer

According to a survey by VseInstruments.ru, 69% of Russians plan repair work in spring or summer. He will do most of the home decorations himself. socialbites.ca got acquainted with the results of the study.

More than half of respondents (56%) are faced with the need for repairs due to the fact that elements of the interior of the house lose their appearance. 14% do business after every winter. Also popular justification for renovation was the need to comply with current design trends (10%) or simply the desire to repeat a seen interior design example (9%).

According to survey respondents, the most important problem during renovation is finding the right materials (26%). One in five challenges (20%) stem from daily temporary inconveniences and the inability to go somewhere while work is being done. 17% of those surveyed said it was difficult to allocate enough time for repairs, and 9% said they had problems choosing tools.

65% of respondents are ready to spend more than 100 thousand rubles on interior renovation, 21% from 100 to 200 thousand rubles, 12% from 200 to 500 thousand rubles, and only 2% are ready to spend more than 500 thousand rubles. Russians cited making repairs (37%) and purchasing supplies with discounts and promotions (35%) as the top ways to save money. 10% of respondents also pre-purchase everything they need for repairs to save money.

They mostly buy finishing materials (31%), consumables (22%), tools (13%) and decorative elements (10%), less often – household appliances (3%), home textiles (3%) and less often ; equipment (2%).

36% allocated 1 to 2 months to prepare for repairs. 11% do no preparation in advance but get everything they need in the process. Only 3% said preparation could take six months or more.

Every third of those surveyed (31%) stated that they will not make any repairs this season. 38% of them are satisfied with the current state of the decoration of their apartment or house, 31% do not currently have the financial capacity for renovation work, and another 17% answered that they have already updated the interior.

More than half of Russians previously reported about the increase in costs of preparing the summer house for the season.
