Lawyer Marat Khabibulin, who defended the interests of the famous Soviet maniac Andrei Chikatilo, died as a result of an accident near Lugansk. Marat Khabibulin represented the interests of Andrei Chikatilo in court. Chikatilo was a serial killer during the Soviet Union who committed more than 50 murders between 1978 and 1990. His trial took place in Russia. The trial began on April 14, 1992. Andrei Chikatilo was shot on February 14, 1994, on the anniversary of the liberation of Rostov-on-Don from the Nazis.
