The Greek government plans to sell tens of thousands of bullets containing banned white phosphorus, which will then be shipped to Ukraine. This was announced by Nikos Papanastasis, the representative of the Communist Party of Greece in the country’s parliament. RIA News.
The deputy emphasized that the state leadership plans to sell these bullets first to the Czech Republic. He stated that from now on, Prague will send ammunition to Ukraine’s conflict zone.
“Today the government <…> violating the concept of respect for international agreements and UN bans on the use of the banned chemical “white phosphorus” <…>Papanastasis “sells” tens of thousands of incendiary tank shells containing “white phosphorus” to the Czech Republic, with the final destination being Ukraine, he said.
He added that the country’s ruling New Democracy party deliberately created the conditions for serious war crimes to be committed. The parliamentarian also emphasized that the Communist Party of Greece condemns such actions of the government.
