Demobilization of soldiers serving in the army in Ukraine began on April 2. This was reported by the Ukrinform agency.

According to journalists, military personnel called to duty before February 2022 will be discharged. The exception will be those who have signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The publication could not find the exact number of citizens to be demobilized.

Before that, about the beginning of the demobilization of conscripts reported Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexey Goncharenko (included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation). According to him, it will last from April 2 to May 31 in different military units. As part of this deployment plan, military personnel from various army units will be sent to the reserves.

Ukrainian Telegram channels also wrote articles about the beginning of the demobilization and published relevant videos.

March 7 Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed discharge decision. According to the document, in April-May “the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have to transfer to the reserves soldiers in compulsory military service from the State Special Transport Service and other military formations created in accordance with Ukrainian law, those whose military service period expired during martial law, whose military service period was extended beyond the established periods.”

Previously captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier said about his mobilization despite micro-coups.
