Azur Air will operate flights from Moscow to Sharm el-Sheikh instead of Southwinds. This was reported by the Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) referring to Anna Podgornaya, CEO of Pegas Touristik.
The message clarified that “Next week, flights instead of Southwind will be operated by AZUR Air.”
According to Podgornaya, the schedule will be determined later. The general director of the tour operator company urged tourists to pay attention to the change in the departure airport: Azur Air flies from Vnukovo.
Before this, it was known that, by the decision of the European Union, Southwind Airlines had limited flights to Europe because it was thought to be connected to Russia. Flights with Russian tourists from Sharm el-Sheikh had to be postponed as the carrier was banned from flying over EU territory.
