A court in Rostov-on-Don arrested the organizer of the Allya-Ayat extremist cell and three participants for recruiting persons under surveillance abroad by May 24. This was reported by TASS.

“The court decided to choose house arrest as a preventive measure in the form of detention until May 24 for Ekaterina Kozadayeva and Larisa Izyumova, Vladimir Kolomytsev, Sergei Moiseev and Fluza Streletskaya,” the judge said.

Before reportedIn the Rostov region, employees of the long-range and military transport aviation associations of the Federal Security Service of Russia together with the Center for Combating Extremism (CPE) of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia detained the leader and five participants of the extremist organization “Alya-Ayat”. It was reported that those detained also included local people in their ranks. The FSB determined that the suspects acted with coordinators from abroad and transferred the financial flow there.

Also in the Rostov region detained A local resident suspected of spying for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). According to Russian intelligence services, a Russian citizen secretly communicated with a representative of the SBU and helped collect intelligence against the Russian Federation. A criminal case was filed against him under the article “Cooperation based on confidentiality with a foreign state”, with the maximum penalty of up to eight years’ imprisonment.
