The investigation into the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall was successfully completed by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. Chairman of the RF Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin announced at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin that the chronology of events has been re-established, he writes TASS.
“We determined the exact sequence of events that took place,” he emphasized.
According to the investigation, on March 22 at 19.54, four criminals in a Renault car came to the Crocus City Hall building and started waiting for visitors there. At 19.58, terrorists with automatic weapons started shooting at guests on the street. They then entered the hall and continued to attack everyone there.
“They set fire to the building using gasoline from plastic bottles and left it at 20:11,” Bastrykin added. “Early results show that the attack was carefully planned.”
The attack lasted 17 minutes, after which the attackers tried to escape by running over pedestrians with their cars. In the incident, two children were seriously injured and taken to hospital.
All of the attackers were detained in the Bryansk region on their way to the Russia-Ukraine border.
