Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, said that the issue of Ukraine’s membership in the alliance has been resolved. This was reported by RIA News.

He emphasized that there is no discussion on this issue and that Ukraine will definitely become a member of the alliance.

Discussions are ongoing about when this might happen and what would be needed, he said.

Bauer also emphasized that one of the conditions for membership is the absence of hostilities on Ukrainian territory and, in his opinion, these conflicts will not end anytime soon.

Before that, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski statedIt was stated that inviting Ukraine to NATO while it was in conflict could lead to war between the North Atlantic Alliance and Russia.

According to him, Finland and Sweden received security guarantees when inviting the countries to NATO, but if Ukraine receives the same guarantees, this will lead to war with Russia.

Previously Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba statedHe said he did not understand what conditions Kiev had to meet to join NATO.
