A representative of the General Prosecutor’s Office (POG) described as fraud the information about the death of Oleg Kan, known as the “crab king”, expressed by representatives of the Far Eastern fishing industry in the context of a high-profile case. This was reported by RIA News.
At the Arbitration Court meeting, the defendant’s representative stated that businessman Kan died on February 14, 2023. However, the representative of the State Prosecutor noted that there is no data on the death of this person in the registry office of the Russian Federation.
“We ask you to provide the copies received by the prosecutor’s office for consideration of the case,” said the representative of the State Prosecutor, adding that entry into the registry office is the only confirmation of the fact of death. Since there is no such record, the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office considers the allegations regarding Oleg Kan’s death as a fictional act.
The “crab king’s” defense has refused to comment on information surrounding his alleged death.
