Russians told how environmentally friendly habits have become a part of their lives

41% of Russians have already acquired eco-habits; another 12% reported rarely practicing eco-habits; the remaining participants responded negatively. This is demonstrated by a study conducted by the PRO Brand communications agency. socialbites.ca got acquainted with the results.

As can be seen from the research, the most common nature care methods for Russians are the use of shopping bags or eco-bags (94.5%) and recycling and selling of old clothes, toys and shoes (87.4%).
23.8% of respondents regularly separate all waste and 13% do so sometimes. A quarter (26.6%) and sometimes 59.9% of Russians segregate only hazardous waste (batteries). Plastic caps are regularly collected and recycled – 13.5%, sometimes 47.1%.

Russians are the group least likely to give up single-use items (takeaway cups, bags, cotton swabs, plastic straws, and utensils); 59.9% have never practiced this eco-habit.

“Statistics on this topic vary greatly depending on the geographical sample. In large Russian cities, the trend towards ecology is well established, but in the regions this rate is much lower. Many people want to take care of nature, but the opportunities are fewer. For example, recycling clothes You have to look for a collection point for a long time. But there is still an alternative.
