Queues of people wishing to vote in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation gathered in front of the voting centers at the Russian embassies in Japan and South Korea. This was reported by RIA News.
According to the agency’s calculations, more than 70 people are standing in front of the entrance of the diplomatic mission in Tokyo, while 15 people are waiting in front of the voting center number 8367.
Before this, Russian Ambassador to Japan Nikolai Nozdrev stated that voting was active in the diplomatic mission.
A queue also formed in front of the election center in Seoul. As RIA Novosti reports, it is advancing rapidly but is constantly being renewed with voters of all ages.
There are many police officers on duty at and near the entrance of the voting center opened in the consular section of the embassy in Seoul. Several more law enforcement officers guard the street as they approach the field.
On March 15, voting in the presidential elections in Russia began, including remotely. They will last until March 17.
For the first time since 2008, four candidates will compete for the presidency: Vladislav Davankov (New People’s Party), Vladimir Putin (nominating his own candidate), Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) and Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation).
