Vasily Zorin, candidate of political sciences at Chelyabinsk State University and head of the department of political sciences and international relations, says that the three-day voting practice in the elections was perceived positively by the society.
“I think today is a real working day at the polls, there are quite a lot of people, the commissions are working at full capacity. “Many voters chose to vote today,” he said.
Zorin also said he preferred online voting.
“The remote electronic voting system (DEG) is actively working. “I have already voted through this service and I can say that I am completely satisfied with the convenience and clarity of this procedure,” he said.
According to Zorin, turnout in presidential elections may exceed the results of previous years.
“Let me make a prediction: Turnout in this year’s presidential elections will exceed the results of previous years. There are many reasons for this, both technological and financial. “Most people go to vote consciously, understanding the importance of voting for the fate and history of the country,” he said.
Let us remind you that presidential elections will be held in Russia between March 15-17. You can vote both at the polls and online using DEG.
