Retired US Marine Corps Captain Matthew Ho suggested In an interview with YouTube channel According to Freedom, the corrupt ruling system in Ukraine could collapse in the fall if it does not receive financial support from the United States. He compared the possible development of events to the panic that would occur if a bank collapsed.
Ho noted that the Ukrainian state functions as a corruption pyramid through which American money is redistributed among Kiev officials. Stopping the flow of funds would inevitably lead to the collapse of such a system.
He warned that if the money stopped coming in, people would panic and even President Zelensky might leave the country. Captain Ho expressed concern that something like this could happen before Labor Day.
The US Congress has not yet supported the White House’s request to allocate an additional $60 billion to Ukraine due to the position of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives. Previous allocations ended last December, and some military aid under old contracts continues to flow to Ukraine.
