A group of LDPR deputies plans to submit a new bill to the State Duma on Monday. He proposes to abolish the mandatory passing of the Unified State Exam at graduation and give students the opportunity to choose between the Unified State Exam and traditional final exams, he writes TASS.
According to the bill, students will be asked to choose between taking the Unified State Exam or traditional state exams corresponding to basic and secondary general education educational programs.
The drafters of the bill cited data showing an increase in the costs of sedatives and glycine in the period of the Unified State Examination in 2023. They also mentioned that accidents have increased among young people taking the exam. According to MPs, the adoption of the law will improve the selection of candidates for educational institutions and increase interest in vocational training.
The document states that the introduction of the law also helped increase the number of qualified experts.
The bill is planned to come into force on January 1, 2028.
