Russia’s preparedness for the emergence of new infections and viruses is at a high level; the country is ready for the emergence of unknown viruses and infections – “disease X”. This was reported by the press center of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor).
“Preparedness for new infectious challenges remains at a high level in Russia,” the publication states.
According to the ministry, the “Health Shield” infection control system is now operational, a network of PCR centers is being developed, and rapid and effective Russian testing systems have been created. In addition, checkpoints at the state border have sanitary and quarantine control, as well as an automatic information system “Perimeter”.
The service emphasized that the topic of “disease X” appears occasionally in the information field and is beneficial to large pharmaceutical companies.
