It says that the police in the USA “detained” a beaver that was blocking traffic on the road UPI. It was stated that the animal had an accomplice from the herd but was still at large.
Police say they received a report of two beavers blocking traffic on the highway. Patrol teams arriving at the scene saw the animals there, without being afraid of the noise of cars. As officers walked toward the rodents, a beaver abandoned its companion and ran away.
Police said the beaver was “taken into custody” for his safety and taken to the Fish and Wildlife Center for further examination.
“He will get the help he needs there,” the statement said.
The local sheriff added that the search for the second beaver that hit the road is ongoing.
