The head of the Investigative Committee discussed Ukraine’s war crimes at the meeting in Donetsk

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin held a meeting in Donetsk at the center for the investigation of crimes in Ukraine. This was reported by press service SK.

During the meeting, Bastrykin was informed about the investigation into 3 Georgian citizens who were mercenaries in Ukraine. According to the ministry, Lasha Rukhai, Levon Hayrapetyan and Erekle Amiranashvili participated in hostilities as part of the Georgian National Legion for the award. While the cases of the mercenaries are being referred to the court, their convictions in absentia are expected to be decided. In total, the Investigative Committee put on the wanted list approximately 700 foreigners fighting for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The meeting also discussed the facts regarding the use of prohibited methods of warfare by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, the Investigative Committee is investigating two cases in which the Ukrainian army opened fire on civilians.

At the meeting, participants said Russian investigators work With evacuated residents of Avdeevka talking about the war crimes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
