Houthis from the Ansarullah rebel movement in Yemen attacked two US destroyers in the Red Sea. The movement’s military representative, Yahya Saria, reported this on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

“The Yemeni navy, missile forces and air force… conducted a unique military operation in the Red Sea in which they attacked two US destroyers,” he wrote.

According to Saria, the attack was carried out using numerous anti-ship missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

He also noted that the Houthis may expand their operations against targets hostile to them. At the same time, Saria said that the movement’s military operations “will continue until the aggression (against Palestinians – socialbites.ca) stops and the blockade against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is lifted.”
