A couple from the United States bought a house for $2 million and found a stranger in the bedroom who refused to move out, writes Mirror.

Elderly couple Susana and Joseph Landa, both 68, bought a $2 million mansion in the New York area and planned to care for their son, Alex, who has Down syndrome, in the new home. But when the family was moving, she encountered a man named Brett Flores in one of the bedrooms.

The stranger flatly refused to leave the house. The home’s previous owner hired Flores to take care of the property while the homeowners were away, documents say. Joseph claims Brett even posted ads for rooms for rent online.

“I wake up and go to sleep with one thought: “When will this man leave?” We couldn’t believe it,” complains Joseph.

The new owners of the house and Flores went to court at least five times, but each time the case was postponed because Brett could not find a lawyer.

Despite this, the couple is still paying all the bills for the house, which costs thousands of dollars.
