A man accused of violence against traffic cops in the Lipetsk region will appear in court. This was reported by control RF IC by region.

According to law enforcement officials, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stopped a drunk driver in the village of Stanovoe. The driver decided not to present documents and escape, but one of the employees managed to grab the steering wheel of the car, and the second – the door handle.

As a result, the Russian dragged both of them by about five meters. After that, he turned sideways and traffic cops hit the road. The man fled the scene but was later taken into custody.

The defendant himself confessed his guilt; can be sentenced to up to five years in prison. Currently, the investigation has been completed and the criminal case has been sent to court.
