Scammers have defrauded many other people in a similar manner. The plan was developed by one of the defendants in 2019 and involved other accomplices.
A criminal case was opened against the fraudsters. The court found all the defendants guilty. They were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 5.5 to eight years in various types of colonies, depending on the role of each.
