The initiative was taken by the first deputy chairman of the education committee, Yana Lantratova, who sent a letter to the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko.
Lantratova noted that the number of Russians who want to have one or two children in 2022 increased to 71.6 percent, while in 2017 this rate was 65.3 percent. At the same time, the proportion of women who do not want to have more than one child increased from 2017 to 23% (6% more) from 2022.
The parliamentarian reminded that private clinics offer a wide range of services for postpartum recovery programs. But some programs can cost up to 150 thousand rubles, and not all families have money for this.
