The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said that she was inspired by singer Lyubov Uspenskaya when writing the lyrics of the song “My Strength is with Me”. A new musical work was presented at the concert of the famous artist, it was reported RIA News.
The diplomat noted that the meeting with Uspenskaya took place about six months ago. The singer later admitted to Zakharova that the anniversary was approaching and she needed some kind of special song to sing “about the most important thing in her life.” Uspenskaya suddenly said clearly: “My strength is with me.”
“And that sentence stuck. “It has become core,” the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
Zakharova noted that it was precisely this phrase that “connected” with the experiences of a woman who experienced “many life difficulties” and found the strength to respond to the challenges of fate.
It turned out that the song, according to the diplomat, was “about all of us and Russia.”
