Aragon TV premieres the program ‘Holy Week in Every Sense’

There are few festivals in Aragon that inspire as much passion and enthusiasm as Holy Week. A tradition passed down through generations that fills Aragonese cities and towns every year with aromas, sounds, beauties, instruments and tastes unique to these dates. Documentary directed by Daniel Latorre and hosted by actor and presenter from Teruel. Nacho Rubioincludes five half-hour episodes, each dedicated to a meaning: smell (first), hearing, sight, touch and taste. These will air at the same time every Wednesday until March 20, when the series will end with a double bill.

In the words of the director, “We are faced with the most comprehensive graphic report on Holy Week in Aragon, because nothing of this length has ever been done before.”. The documentary, which aims to show the unseen events, preparations and unnamed characters during Holy Week, is two and a half hours in total. “We wanted to do something outside the usual dynamic, escape stereotypes and present information that is not usually publicly available,” Latorre elaborates.

A tour covering the entire geography of Aragon

The program was filmed at the strongest points of brotherhood activity in Aragon. Like the Drum and Bombo Route of Zaragoza, Bajo Aragonand other places like Barbastro, where Holy Week presents oddities. Produced by executive production. The documentary is aimed at all lovers of Holy Week who experience Holy Week firsthand, but above all enjoy it from the outside.
