Poland will take action against a farmer who appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by a Polish newspaper. Wyborca.

Farmers are currently protesting across the country. They demand the closure of the Polish-Ukrainian border and the halt of supplies of agricultural products from Ukraine.

Protesters hung several banners on their tractors calling on the country’s and European Union authorities, including a coffin symbolizing the death of Polish agriculture, but one of them caused a scandal.

On one of the tractors there was a message addressed to the Russian President: “Putin, agree with Ukraine, Brussels and our rulers.” A large USSR flag was also attached to the front of the car. The organizers of the protest emphasized that protest participants were individually responsible for the content of their posters.

The banner was recorded on video by the police. According to the publication, the farmer will be notified “in connection with the propaganda of the totalitarian state system.” Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Marcin Kierwiński said on social media X that “the police and the prosecutor’s office will take action” against the man.
