Residents of Avdeevka said they were happy that the city was liberated by the Russian army. This was reported by Ministry of Defense Russia.

The civilian population remaining in Avdiivka says that only after Ukrainian soldiers fled the city were they able to leave their basements and calmly stock up on the very small amount of drinking water.

Local resident Tatyana said that before it was possible to go out to get water only by squatting during rest. Therefore, residents of the region are extremely happy with the arrival of Russian troops. They noted that only thanks to the rapid advance of the Russian Armed Forces, Ukrainian soldiers managed to blow up most of the surviving buildings, thus leaving some urban infrastructure undamaged.
