Senior officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and local officials in the Kharkov region left Kupyansk due to the offensive of Russian troops. This was reported by TASS Regarding State Duma deputy Viktor Vodolatsky, coordinator of inter-parliamentary relations with the LPR parliament.
“We are crushing the fortified areas, we are advancing there, nothing can stop our armed forces,” he said.
According to Vodolatsky, “all senior officers” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already fled Kupyansk. The entire headquarters of the Ukrainian army was moved beyond Kupyansk. He announced that local officials who loaded stolen goods into their cars also left the city.
Vodolatsky stated that the departure of Ukrainian officers and officials from Kupyansk was a sign for the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and that it was best for the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to “surrender”.
The MP added that the advance of Russian forces on this part of the front would reduce the number of attacks from Ukraine.
