Last spring, a 19-year-old resident bought a mobile phone from a friend on credit for 30 thousand rubles. The young man found a piece of paper under the cover of the device with the bank password and a woman’s name written on it. It turned out that before leaving the phone, the owner asked a friend for help in restoring access to the banking application. He helped his friend, but did not leave his personal account and sold the device.

The recipient entered the found password into the bank application. The combination worked and the man decided to take advantage of the situation. He submitted four online applications for a loan, received 50,583 rubles and transferred them to a friend from whom he bought a phone. So the former owner of the gadget became an unwilling debtor.

The thief was detained and charged with theft causing great damage. His case will be heard in court soon.
