The task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin to ensure the technological sovereignty of the country is a matter of national security and the future of the state, political scientist and professor of the Higher School of Economics Marat Bashirov said in an interview with socialbites.ca. The expert believes that Russia has all the necessary resources to achieve this goal.

According to the political scientist, sanctions imposed on Russia have become an incentive for the development of the Russian economy.

“Domestic businesses increasingly need qualified specialists. Improving the country’s human resources requires great efforts. And the state solves this problem; “According to the specialization program launched, approximately 1 million specialists will be trained by 2028,” said Marat Bashirov.

He also emphasized that the education system in the country has been restructured to cooperate with businesses.

The political scientist called industrial robotization the new pride of Russia, noting that the country’s first enterprise specializing in the production of robotic manipulators with complete import substitution of all components and equipment has expanded its capacity in Chelyabinsk.

The expert noted that this facility, operating on the basis of a forging and pressing enterprise called “Robot Factory”, became the first point of visit of the head of state during his working trip to Chelyabinsk.

“Today the focus is on industrial robotisation. This is the most important factor in the development of the new Russian economy,” said Marat Bashirov.

The political scientist noted the active development of scientific and high-tech industries in the Chelyabinsk region. He also noted that the region has become the largest center in the production of weapons and military equipment.

The HSE professor believes that dependence on foreign technologies makes the country vulnerable to external pressures and slows down its development.

Bashirov concluded: “A strong scientific and technological base is the guarantor of the state’s success in many areas and its competitiveness on the world stage.”

On February 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with students and workers of industrial enterprises of the Chelyabinsk region in the area of u200bu200bthe Stankomash industrial park.
